Diana Malvasia DOC Merlara

This is an elegant, full-bodied dry white wine from our new award-winning producer, Le Carezze.  Made from PIWI Malvasia Istriana grapes that historically were brought from Istria (now part of Croatia and Slovenia) by Venetians in 18th century. The grapes are dried (appassimento) for 3 to 4 weeks before gently pressing then aged in French oak for 2 months before bottling. The wine has hints of tropical fruit, but the limestone and clay soil is the key to its elegant full-bodied structure with subtle minerality. 

This is a great foodie-loving wine that matches perfectly with creamy sauce-based dishes and pasta as well as with sushi, grilled fish and seafood.
