Montioni Montefalco Sagrantino is made exclusively from 100% Sagrantino grapes, a bold native variety that grows only in the Montefalco area. Grown at 450 metres above sea level on the Montioni family’s hillside vineyards, these grapes are hand-harvested with care and vinified with a long, slow maceration of over a month.

After fermentation, the wine spends 24 months aging in French oak barriques, followed by another 12 months refining in the bottle — a patient process that brings out the very best in this powerful red.
