Made from 100% Sagrantino grapes grown in the Montioni family's prized Fonte Petrella vineyard, Ma.Gia is produced with minimal intervention and maximum care. The grapes are hand-picked in late October and fermented spontaneously in French oak barriques — no selected yeasts, just nature and time. The wine is then aged for 30 months in new 225-litre French oak, followed by another 12 months of bottle aging.
Presented in a beautiful fire-branded wooden case, Ma.Gia is a wine made to impress — and to age gracefully.
In the glass, it’s a deep, intense purple-red. On the nose, it’s rich and complex with notes of black cherries, dark chocolate, cherries in alcohol, and a hint of liquorice. On the palate, it’s powerful yet refined — perfect for pairing with truffle dishes, roast lamb, game, pigeon, and grilled meats.
