Piazzano Ciliegiolo

Ciliegiolo is the Italian word for cherry and is where this grape gets its name. Hard to say but easy to drink; Ciliegiolo, pronounced Chili-eh-golo (with a soft G) is a wonderful discovery that is undergoing a well-deserved mini-revival in its native Tuscany. The wine has a vibrant ruby colour with delicate cherry fruit flavours and soft tannins.

This delicious medium-bodied wine is just as lovely on its own as with food. In the summer months, chill it in the fridge for just an hour to drink with a summer barbeque lunch.
